About Lawrence Babatope Kolawole
Professor Lawrence Babatope Kolawole, (FNIP) served as the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria, from 1997 to 2000, he also served as acting Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria between 1996 - 1997.
Kolawole had worked in the university system for several years. He started his university teaching and research career as an Asst. Lecturer, Department of Physics, University of Ibadan, 1974; Lecturer, Obafemi Awolowo University, lle-lfe, 1980 – 1987.
Kolawole became a professor at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) since 1097, served as Head, Department of Physics, Federal University of Technology, Akure, 1987-88; Dean, School of Sciences, Federal University of Technology, Akure, 1988-92; Acting. Dean, School of Environmental Technology, Federal University of Technology Akure, 1992-94; Deputy Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology 1993-97; Acting Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Akure, 1996-97; Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Akure, 1997 – 2000.
